Noida will soon have its first foot-over bridge (FOB) equipped with escalators on the very busy road stretch between Great India Palace in Sector 38-A and Sector 18 market for which the Noida Development Authority has recently given its approval, said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohinder Singh.

He added that the decision to this effect came in view of the persistent demands from the shop owners welfare body and pedestrian alike. The construction company will not only build the FOB but would also maintain it for the next 10 years after which it would share revenue with the Noida Development Authority and the agency is in the process to float tenders to this effect.

The CEO informed that once the first FOB becomes operational, the agency will build more such FOBs on other busy roads as this will go a long way saving precious lives being lost in road accidents that have become a routine matter in the area. The situation has become even worse ever since the Great Noida Palace became operational.
